Dana Kim began playing the cello at 8 years old and has been playing for around 5 and 1/2 years. She is currently studying cello with Vicky Wang. She has participated in many competitions such as VOCE and also Silicon Valley Music Competition which she won third place. She was also a part of the All-State Orchestra this year. She is currently a 9th grader at Gunn High School. Additionally, she is has been part of GSYO since 6th grade and is currently a principal cellist in Sinfonietta. For fun, she also plays for her school orchestra. On her free-time, she likes to hang out with friends, travel, and spend time with family!
