David Tsyrulnik is a 3rd grader at Samuel Staples Elementary School in Easton Connecticut. He has been playing piano since the age of four, both as a soloist and as part of a duet with his sister, Simone. David’s favorite subjects in school are math, reading, gym, and writing. He is an avid writer of both fiction and non-fiction essays. In addition to piano, David loves soccer (he is a leader of his team’s defense), tennis, and swimming. David is very active in his school, representing his class as a Student Senator for three years. Although David’s first performance on stage was at the age of four, his first competition was at the age of six- winning first place at the American Association for Development of the Gifted and Talented in 2018, and performing at Carnegie Hall. Since then, he has won several local and international piano competitions both individually and as a duet with his sister.
