Maia LaVallee is 13 years old and in 8th grade at Tolt Middle School in Carnation, WA. Maia began playing the flute in the summer before 6th grade, taking private lessons just to prepare for joining the school band. She liked it so much that she has continued with the lessons ever since! Her other interests include reading, soccer, pigs, and skiing.
