Anna Xie
Anna Xie has been studying piano since the age of 7, and some of her past accomplishments include gold medals at Northwest Suburban Music Teachers Association Sonata Sonatina Festival (2011) and Fox Hills Music Teachers Association Sonata Sonatina Festival Gold Medal (2012 and 2013). She was the highest ranking in the Illinois Grade School Music Association Piano Solo in 2014 and 2015. A little over a year ago, she started studying with Sueanne Metz. Some of her accomplishments under Mrs. Metz include gold medal at Chicago Area Music Piano Contest (CAMTA) Sonata Festival (2017 and 2018), third prize at the Best Mozart Performance Competition in 2017, and prize winner at the Roberta Savler Piano Contest in 2018. She has also had the honor to perform in the American Fine Arts Festival Recital at Carnegie Hall in New York (2017) and done various other public performances. Outside of music, Anna participates in competitive debate and enjoys swimming and track.
