The contestants who pass the qualifying round (pre-screening) are entitled to take part in the final round.

Rising Talents of Americas is part of Rising Talents of the World competition series.

The rising music stars to look out for. Talents are chosen from countries in each world region.

ELIGIBILITY

Rising Talents of Americas is open to instrumentalists and singers up to 25 years from the North American, South American, and Caribbean countries.

The contestants should be born in a North American, a South American, or a Caribbean country. For your reference, you can find the list of countries in North America and The Caribbean here and in South America here. For the avoidance of doubt, to comply with the competition rules, it is important where the contestant is born and not where he/she currently resides. The same applies even in cases of dual citizenship (if you are a person who is concurrently regarded as a citizen of more than one country under the laws of those countries).
Eligible instruments: piano, stringed instruments (violin, viola, cello, double bass, harp, classical guitar), woodwinds, brass, and percussion.
Eligible vocal music: opera, art song, musical theatre (Broadway), Western sacred music

Previous winners are permitted to apply. There's no restrictions as to the number of times a contestant can apply to a competition;
Contestants are permitted to submit entries to as many competitions as they want in any given year;
One and the same piece could be eligible for submission for multiple competitions. Read the Rules of each particular competition you're interested in to see if you can submit your chosen piece to multiple competitions.

AGE GROUPS (ensembles)

The same as above. Take into account the average age of the ensemble members.
According to the Eligibility section above, please also take into account that all of the ensemble' members should be born in North America, South America or The Caribbean.

REPERTOIRE REQUIREMENTS

One free-choice piece from the baroque, classical, romantic, modern and contemporary musical eras. For clarification it shall mean a piece composed from approximately 1600 to nowadays. There's no restrictions as to the nationality of the composer. For large scale works e.g. concerto, sonata, or opera: one movement for instrumentalists and one aria for singers.
Transcriptions/Adaptations/Arrangements are acceptable. For example, a piece of music adapted for another instrument(s) than which it was originally composed.
It's not required to know the piece by heart.
Applicable for piano instrumentalists only: the performance should be solo or with orchestra.
Applicable for all instrumentalists except pianists: the performance should be solo, with piano accompaniment or orchestra.
Applicable for singers: the performance should be “a cappella”, with instrumental accompaniment or orchestra.

Rounds of the Competition

The competition is divided into a qualifying round (pre-screening) and a final round.

Both rounds are online.

PRE-SCREENING (FREE ENTRY)

Participants are required to submit a video recording of their performance by completing one of the official pre-screening forms below.

Please choose the correct form and the correct competition according to the participant’s country of birth.
For ensembles, the competition must be selected according to the countries of birth of all ensemble members.
The video recordings have to be made not later than 12 months preceding the date of submission.
The video recordings (audio not acceptable) must be genuinely performed by applicants and may not be edited, nor should any effects be added.
If you submit YouTube links, please make sure your video is set to Public or Unlisted, not Private.
The approved contestants will participate in the competition with the same piece submitted for the pre-screening.
Only those who are selected in the qualifying round (pre-screening) are entitled to take part in the final round.

INVITATION & APPLICATION (FINAL ROUND)

The approved contestants will receive an email notification containing instructions how to apply for the final round.
Only the contestants who pass the qualifying round (pre-screening) are entitled to take part in the final round.
The Application Form, portrait photo link, and proof of payment (PayPal ID) of the administrative processing fee of $37.50 should be submitted according to the competition schedule.
Please complete the official application form only for the same competition for which the contestant has been approved in the pre-screening stage.

JUDGING

Eight qualified judges will be evaluating audition materials.
The decision of the Jury is final and can’t be appealed.
The awards will be based solely on the video recordings submitted.

PRIZES

Multiple awards will be given in each age category.
The Jury may award additional special awards or specific acknowledgements.
The winners will receive diplomas.

Their teachers may receive certificates by request.
