Aleena Li
Aleena Li, 14, from Overland Park, Kansas, began piano lessons at age four, instructed by Mrs. Tatyana Rubchinsky. Currently, she continues her piano study under Ms. Ying-Yu Emily Yeh. Aleena Li has received several awards in many competitions and festivals including been chosen as a Third Place Winner of the American Protégé International Piano and Strings Competition 2013. She was also awarded by Kansas State District Auditions, Kansas Music Teachers Association State Honors Competitions and Kansas City Music Teachers Association Fall Festival. Aleena was named the first place winner in KMTA
State Honors Competitions in 2012, the second place in 2013 and Honorable Mention in 2011. She also received the Highest Honors with Special Merit in KCMTA Fall Festival several times. Aleena also plays violin. She loves drawing, and helping patients in her communities by raising fund with her music.
