Madelaine Martinez


Mezzo-Soprano Madelaine Martinez has performed feature roles including Cherubino (Le Nozze di Figaro), Rosina (Il Barbiere di Siviglia), Le Prince Charmant (Cendrillon), Constance Fletcher (The Mother of Us All), and Ottone (L’incoronazione di Poppea). In supporting roles, she has been seen as Kate (The Pirates of Penzance) and La Zelatrice (Suor Angelica), and in scenes as Dorabella (Cosi fan tutte), Zerlina (Don Giovanni), and in the title role of Carmen. In 2014 and 2015, she was engaged as a member of the Fort Worth Opera chorus. Madelaine is currently working with the Dallas Opera as a young artist with their Education Outreach program. She is a recipient of a Bill and Margot Winspear Opera Scholarship. This spring she will sing the roles of Charlotte (A Little Night Music) and Mother Jeanne (Dialogues des Carmelites).

Madelaine has also been a participant in programs in the OperaWorks Advanced Artist Program, Opera Training Institute of Chicago, Vancouver Opera Studio, AIMS in Graz and the Amalfi Coast Music Festival. Originally from Everman, TX, Ms. Martinez received her Bachelor of Music degree from UNT where she currently is finishing her masters, studying under Carol Wilson.
