Allison Kim is a junior at University High School in Irvine, California. She has been playing the violin for 9 years and is currently studying with Miehee Rhee. From 2014 to 2018 she participated in the Irvine Unified Honors Orchestra program, was a member of the Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association in 2016, and is currently a part of California’s All-State Orchestra. She has also won awards at the Southwestern Youth Music Festival, was a 1st place winner at the Satori Strings Contest, and enjoys sharing music with patients at the hospital of University of California Irvine through a program called Music to Heal. In addition to violin, Allison also enjoys fostering her passion for music by playing the guitar and piano.
