David Duan was born in China and moved to Canada in 2015, he is currently a grade 12 student and a member of the Phil and Eli Taylor Performance Academy at the Royal Conservatory in Toronto, where he studies with Mr. Atis Bankas. He has been playing the violin for nearly 12 years although he can also play the piano. David won 2nd place at the 2016 NB provincial music festival aswell as 1st place at the 2021 Guelph Kiwanis. In the future, he hopes to continue sharing music as it brings joy to everyone like nothing else
