Xu Zhuorui studied piano at the age of five and he started studying violin with Kaiyi Ma at the age of seven.
In 2017, he won the First Prize of the Children's Violin Competition of Guangdong Province, and also won the First Prize of the First Violin Ensemble Competition with the Guangzhou Symphony Youth Orchestra;
In 2019, he won the First of the Tchaikovsky International Youth Competition(Guangdong section);
The second prize of the preliminary competition of the 10th Hong Kong International Violin Competition in 2019;
he also won the second prize of theWorld Violin E-Competition 2020‘‘Napolinova’’ .
