Born in 2009, Yihao Kuang began his cello study with his father at the age of six. He has been instructed by the famous educator Mingqing Yu and Professor Jia Yu. He is currently a student in Central Conservatory of Music Primary School.
Kuang attended the prominent cellists' masterclasses of Liwei Qin, Michel Strauss, Richard Bamping, Claes Gunnarsson, Principal Cellist of the London Symphony Orchestra.
In 2018, Kuang has been awarded"" Talented Young Cellist ""by quite a few virtuosos at Qingdao International Cello Festival. He has won prizes in a number of competitions for solo and chamber music. He has been invited to perform at a range of music festival ceremonies and winners' galla concerts. He has also traveled to different cities and gave solo and chamber shows. His passion for classical music will always keep going on.

In October 2017, as a competition winner, he made his concert debut in Shanghai, performing Haydn’s Cello Concerto in C Major.
In December 2019, he gave a solo performance of Kabalevsky Cello Concerto No.1 in G minor, op.49 at Chengdu Art Theater.
In 2019, he performed solo and ensemble at Beijing Poly Theater.
In July 2017, he played soloist at Weifang Grand Theater.
Chamber experience
In January 2019, he performed the cello ensemble in Busan, South Korea.
In July 2019, he gave cello ensemble performance at 2019 National Youth Art Exhibition.
In December 2019, he performed the cello duet in Beijing.
In December 2018, he performed flute trio in the Concert Hall of the Central Conservatory of Music Middle School.

In 2020, he performed ensembles at the 3rd Cello Family Master Class opening and closing ceremonies in Qingdao and Guiyang.
In 2019, he gave shows at the 2nd Cello Family International Music Festival opening and closing ceremonies in Taiyuan and Chengdu.
