Born in 2003 in China, Yifei Hu started learning violin at the age of 5 and show her musical talent from early days. She was awarded gold prizes in the “Memorial centenary of Sicong Ma’s birth” violin competition, “Charming China” China-S.Korea Musical Talents Competiton and The Art Festival of World Chinese Adolescents-Hubei Regional Violin Competition, First prize in Hubei Youth Music Talents Competition and Silver prize in “Sicong Ma Cup” National Youth Violin Competition. In addition, she has given brilliant performance at Leschetizky Muisc Competition and Andrea Postacchini International Violin Competition.
Yifei is currently a merit student of Central Conservatory of Music Middle School under the guidance of Xiao Liu. She is a rising star in becoming an exceptional young artist. She has performed with renowned violinist Siqing Lyu at Beijing National Centre for the Performing Arts. She has captured audience with colourful tones and emotional depth in her music.
She joined Four Season Chamber Ensemble and China Youth Symphony Orchestra in 2016. As the member of String Quartet, she won the First Prize (Ensemble category) in 2020 ""Golden Classical Music Awards"" International Competition, and she has received an invitation to perform at the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, November 2020.
Over the years, she has also participate in many international music festivals and masterclasses, including 2019 Zhuhai Strings Masterclass, 2018 Stradivari Europe Summer Music Camp, 2017 Qingdao International Music Masterclass and 2016 Suzhou Strings Summer Camp.
