Yi Tong was born 1998 in Malaysia. He is now studying at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama as a final year undergraduate pianist under the tutelage of Graham Caskie. He was announced finalist in the Eric Hodges Beethoven Prize in 2018. In the Appelbe Piano Prize in the North London Music Festival, he was highly commended by adjudicator James Kirby and Virginia Black in 2018 and 2019 respectively.
Yi Tong has also performed in Church of Saint Edwards and Newport Cathedral alongside his fellow colleagues.
