11 year old cellist, Uma Rohatgi, is a student of Jonathan Koh. Uma enjoys playing solo cello and chamber music in concerts, festivals, and competitions. She is the winner of the Enkor International Strings Competition (1st place, 2020), MTAC VOCE Junior Solo Strings Category (1st place SF Branch, 2019 & 2020, 3rd place State, 2019), United States International Music Competition (2nd place, Young Artist Award 2019), US Open Music Competition (1st place and Outstanding Gold Medalist, 2018), Bach Festival (soloist, 2018), and Korean Times Competition (2nd place, 2018). Uma enjoys elementary school student government, gymnastics, tennis, writing, and anything about polar bears.
