Tane Kim


 Tane Kim, from Orange County, California, is a student in the Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA) Strings and Orchestra Conservatory. His musical journey began at the age of 5. Currently, Tane is a student of Jenny Hyunseung Oh. He has won numerous accolades, including the first place award in the American Protégé Romantic 2020 competition and American Protégé Strings and Piano 2019 competition. Tane has performed as a principal cellist in String Orchestra at OCSA and Chamber Orchestra at Pioneer Middle School. He has also performed as a cellist in Junior High All State California Orchestra 2020, Chamber Orchestra at OCSA, Pacific Symphony Santiago Strings, Junior Chamber Music, Christian Youth Symphony of Irvine, and Irvine Classical Players Seraphim Symphony. In addition to playing the modern cello, Tane enjoys practicing Baroque repertoire under Dr. Leif Woodward. Tane is the co-founder and director of the non-profit organization Orange County Early Music.
