Kate Sunny Kim is currently 14 years old and has been playing the violin since she was 8 years old. As a rising ninth grader, she loves to listen to music, to watch anime, and to play with her cat, Bobo. She was a member of Emory Youth Chamber Program, and her group won the grand prize in the middle school division of the Franklin Pond Chamber Music Competition in 2019. She was named concert mistress of Cobb County Middle School Honors Orchestra for two years (2018 & 2019). She has been member of GMEA Allstate Orchestra since 2017. She has won the Award of Excellence from the GMTA violin competition for three consecutive years since 2017.
