Sonja Uhlmann, born on November 6th, 2006, received her first piano lessons at the age of 4 from her father Thomas Uhlmann, a former solo coach at the Bavarian State Opera.
At the age of 6, Sonja was the youngest prize winner of the Henle piano competition. Numerous first prizes followed as:

2016 1st prizes Piano Olympics PianoForte, Gilching near Munich (3 Gold medals)

1st prize “with Honorable Mention""International Online Music Competition of Opus Artis, Paris
She has performed several times as a soloist with an orchestra. In a series of children's concerts she played as “Nannerl” together with members of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra.
She attended master classes and courses with Herbert Schuch, Vincenzo Balzani, Philippe Raskin, Georg Steinschaden, Lukas Maria Kuen, Milana Chernyavska, Markus Bellheim and several times with Prof. Bianca Bodalia, whose student she has been since 2016.
Since the winter semester 2018/19 Sonja has been studying at the pre-college of the Mozarteum University in Salzburg in the class of Prof. Cordelia Höfer-Teutsch.
In 2019 and 2020, as part of the education program of the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, she was invited to a chamber music course with members of the BRSO and to a public master class with Thomas Adès and Kirill Gerstein, which was broadcast live.
