Born in Gwangju, South Korea, Seungyoun started learning the piano and violin at the age of 6. However, his musical training took off when he joined Westminster Abbey Choir school as a chorister. He has since built up considerable experience as a performer and also has an interest in composition. At the age of 12 he won the Choir Schools' Association Composition Competition. He went on to study at Lancing College as a Walter Stanton Music Scholar, was the leader of the Symphony Orchestra and left with numerous prizes. He also served as violinist at the National Children's Chamber Orchestra. Seungyoun studied piano with Adrian West and Mateusz Duda and recently won 3rd Prize in the E-Music Maestro online Piano Competition.
Seungyoun now studies at the Royal Northern College of Music under the Tutelage of Prof. Frank Wibaut.
