Ruize Xu, born in Xinjiang, China in October 1998, began piano studies at 7. In 2017, he matriculated in Zhejiang Conservatory of Music to major in Piano Performance. Currently he is in the third year of the college program. His teacher is Dr. Zhu Mei, the young pianist and Vice Chair of the Piano Department.
For two consecutive school years, he won the merit scholarship awarded by the conservatory. Additionally, he has been involved in the national research project “Chinese Zodiac Signs“, the small stage patronage project in 2019.
His competition awards include Gold Award in 2019 Shanghai International Youth Piano Competition Zhejiang Audition, Second Prize in 2018 Zhejiang College Students Piano Competition, Gold Award in 2011 Zhou Guangren Piano Summer Camp Xinjiang Regional Competition, and Gold Award in 2010 Meihua Cup Piano Competition.
