My name is Rachel Liu and I have been playing the flute for three years. When I was five years old, I watched a flute performance live and I really liked it. So I asked my parents if I could learn how to play the flute. They felt that I was not old enough to play a musical instrument like the flute, so they let me start playing the piano at the age of 6 and promised me that I could begin playing the flute when I turned 8. I finally turned 8 in Feb 2017, and I started my first private flute lesson in March 2017. I have been enjoying playing the flute since then. And I am planning to continue for a very long time!
