Phoelia Ang

Phoelia Ang, an 11-year-old CHIJ St. Nicholas Girls’ School student from Singapore.

Phoelia began taking vocal lessons at the age of 6 years old. She is in her euphoria whenever she sings, particularly inclined to musical theatre songs. She has garnered ensemble roles for junior versions of musicals, such as Grease and Hairspray.

One of the most memorable performances Phoelia had was her first overseas performance where she won the American Protege Singing Competition and sang in the Carnegie Hall at New York City in 2018. Phoelia is privileged to be one of the 120 performers in performing arts to bless others by raising funds for Childaid Charity Concerts in Singapore for both 2018 and 2019 which were organized by The Straits Times and The Business Times to raise funds for school children from the low-income families and The Business Times Budding Artists Fund for the underprivileged youngsters.

Singing is such a passion for Phoelia and this passion brings her to discover her own world of truths and imaginations. She has recently expanded her singing style into another genre in Classical singing. She also plays the drum. Phoelia is such a happy and bubbly girl.
