Merced Stratton is a lyric soprano from Los Angeles, CA, where she graduated magna cum laude with her BM in Vocal Arts at California State University, Northridge, and now studies with Jayne Campbell. Past roles include Chiarella in Cimarosa's "Li sposi per accidenti", understudy to Anne Page in Nicolai's "Merry Wives of Windsor", and chorus in Handel's "Serse", Tchaikovsky's "Eugene Onegin", and Bernstein's "Trouble in Tahiti". In addition to opera, she is an accomplished choral singer, and has debuted new works with Los Robles Master Chorale under the direction of Dr. Lesley Leighton, and sung under the batons of esteemed conductors Anthony Parnther, Iris, and Donald Brinegar. This year she continues to sing virtually, and plans to continue her study of singing with the pursuit of her master's degree.
