Hello, my name is Lua Atefi. I love operatic singing and I have been receiving one-on-one operatic voice training since the age of 8, so I have been training for about 6 years now. I am looking forward to many more years of learning and moving forward in this area.
I have performed in many occasions many of which are my personal service contribution to community events both in my local neighborhood, our city Gold Coast and Brisbane and inter-state in Sydney. In addition to that, I have been very lucky to have auditioned in school musicals and plays and seem to be very fortunate to always get the parts that I audition for. Last year, Opera Australia directed Madame Butterfly and I was very lucky to be among the few children who received a very minor role in that Opera.
I have sat my 3 National Vocal Music Exams with AMEB . I was very fortunate to be able to score Distinction Grade for Level 1, Honours Grade for Level 2, Honours Grade for Level 3 for these AMEB examinations.
Apart from these, I am also a member of a STEM class (honours class) in my school and also a School Captain as well. In my spare time, I like reading fantasy books like Harry Potter and read up on biographies of famous Opera singers eg : Joan Sutherland, and Placido Domingo being my favourites. These people inspire me so much.
I am so honoured to be part of this competition and thank you so much for the opportunity to be sharing this art with you.
