Leonidas Vandapel is 11 years old, and has been studying piano with Kazumi Petinaux at the City Music Center, Duquesne University since the age of 6. He is a 6th grader at Dorseyville Middle School and enjoys playing cello at the middle school orchestra. Besides playing piano and cello, he loves math, social studies and playing football.
Leonidas was selected as one of the winners of the Duquesne Young Artist National Solo Award in 2017, was 3rd place at the Pittsburgh International Piano Competition in 2019 and performed at Carnegie Hall, NYC. He was one of the Steinway Society of Western Pennsylvania Young Artists for the 2019 -2020 season.
