Kellie Sakura Tang


 Kellie has played piano since kindergarten at age 6. She has won the “Concert Festival International Competition” in 2018, playing a piano duet with her twin sister and performed at Lincoln Center. Kellie was also a gold winner for the  “International Young Artists Competition “ and performed at Carnegie Hall. She participated in a masterclass with pianist Spencer Myer and is in Stony Brook University’s Young Artist Program for the past two years. She has received perfect evaluation scores from New York State Students Music Association for piano in 2019 and from the National Piano Playing Auditions American College of Musicians. Kellie is visual impaired as a New York State legally blind. Despite her physical disadvantage, she is currently in 11th grade at William Floyd High School with a 98 GPA with 8 college credits, taking the AP music theory class, and plays the violin in the school symphonic orchestra. She wishes to pursue a piano performance major and hopes to attend the Curtis Institute or Juilliard.
