Kara Libby, soprano, is a first year Master of Music in Voice Performance student from St. Louis, Missouri. She earned her Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from Missouri State University and graduated summa cum laude. Recently, she was seen performing at the Seraphic Fire Professional Choral Institute in 2019, and she was a National Semifinalist in the 2020 National Association of Teachers of Singing Student Auditions. She received the 2020 Outstanding Singer Award at Missouri State University. Her recent roles include Mother (Amahl and the Night Visitors) with the Missouri State University Opera Workshop, Alice (The Secret Garden) with the Missouri State University Department of Theatre and Dance, Juno (Orfeo aux Enfers) with the Missouri State University Opera Workshop, and Liebeslieder (A Little Night Music) with the Missouri State University Department of Theatre and Dance. Kara is currently studying voice with Dr. Carol Wilson, she is in the A Cappella choir at the University of North Texas, and she received scholarships from the J. Charles Groom Memorial Scholarship Fund and the Donald E. Waugh Memorial Scholarship Fund.
