Violin: Jonathan Yan-Li Wee studied from age 6-11 at the Special Music School for musically gifted children and continuing with the same teacher, Viktor Basis, currently. Jonathan won First Prize in the Crescendo International Competition in 2018 and First Prize in 2019, playing in winners’ concerts at Weill Hall and Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall. Jonathan participated in the Jacobs School of Music String Academy at Indiana University (Bloomington) in the summer of 2017. Jonathan also participated in the Cremona International Music Academy and Festival in the summer of 2017 and 2018 and the Prague String Festival in the summer of 2019.
Vocal Music: Jonathan has sung in Jazz at Lincoln Center, the Isaac Stern Auditorium at Carnegie Hall and the David Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center with the Young People’s Chorus of New York City in the Prelude Division (2018) and the Intermezzo Division (2019-current). "
