Joelle Wee is a fifth grader at the Trinity School in New York City. She has studied piano from grades K-4 at the Special Music School at Kaufman Music Center and continues to study at the Lucy Moses School with the highly regarded pianist and pedagogue, Irina Morozova.
At the Crescendo International Competition, Joelle won First Prize in 2019 and Second Prize in 2018, performing in the winners’ concerts at Zankel Hall and Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall. She attended, by invitation, the Indiana University Piano Academy at the Jacobs School of Music in the summer of 2017. Joelle participated in the Cremona International Music Academy and Festival in the summer of 2017 and 2018 as well as the Prague Piano Festival in the summer of 2019.
Joelle has also sung with the Young People’s Chorus of New York City at Jazz at Lincoln Center, the Isaac Stern Auditorium at Carnegie Hall and the David Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center. Joelle currently participates in the Metropolitan Opera Children’s Chorus program, studying with consummate musician Anthony Piccolo, Director of the Children’s Chorus.
