Born in 2007 in Qingdao, China, Jie Li started learing cello at the age of 6. She is curently a Music Middle School Affiliated to Shanghai Conservatory of Music student under Prof. Xinhua Ma’s instruction.
The first success in her music career came up with the First Prize in the Aiqin Cup International Cello Competition at the age of 7 in 2014. At the age of 9, she won the Second Prize in the 17th Osaka International Music Competition.
She has had appearences in many public concerts as soloist or ensemble menber. In 2019, She took part in Xinhua Ma’s cello ensemble concert and Qingdao Music Festival. She got opportunity to perform with Qingdao Symphony Orchestra. Recently she has performed Saint-Saëns’ s work with Hebei Symphony Orchestra as a soloist.
