Haruka Hirai started learning piano in 2017, at the age of seven. In addition to performing in many recitals, she has been a Gold winner of OMTA Period Festivals. She was also selected to play in a masterclass for pianist, Baron Fenwick. Most recently, Haruka was awarded the First Prize at International Music Competition of Salzburg “GRAND PRIZE VIRTUOSO” and was also awarded Silver Medal Award at 2020 Virtuoso Artists Festival of Seattle International Piano Festival. Haruka also does competitive dance, including ballet, jazz, tap, and contemporary. Haruka attends Japanese school and is fully bilingual. Besides piano and dance, she loves to read, draw and go to museums.
