Ellin Kwak is in 8th grade at Liberty Middle school in Clifton, Virginia. Ellin started learning piano when she was 6 years old under Dr. Mihyang Joo. Ellin has achieved many 1st place awards including CIMC European Music Competition (2020), GCIC The Art of Piano (2020), Elite Music Competition (2020), CMIC Classical Music Competition (2021), and Achievement award (2021). Ellin has won 2nd place in Sonata festival (2020) and Honor for Judged Recital (2020), AAMS (2021) and Finalist for Kosciuszko Foundation Chopin Competition for Young Pianists (2020).
In previous years, Ellin has been awarded 1st place in YMIC Metropolitan Music Festival (2017), NVMTA Piano Ensemble Competition (2017-2018), Ensemble of Washington Adcentist University (2018). She has won 3rd place at the Washington National Youth Competition. Honorable mentions for AAMS (2017/2021), NVMTA Concerto Festival (2017-2018), and Judged Recital (2019 - 2020).
Ellin has performed at several halls as a winner of Golden Key festival Gold winner and performed at Carnegie Hall, Washington International Piano Festival, performed at Catholic University of America, She is also a winner at NVMTA Sonata Festival, performed at Harris Theatre at George Mason University. Adding on, Ellin had also performed at Mansion at Strathmore in Maryland, Center stage at Reston Community Center in Virginia, Steinway gallery in Maryland, and Harris Theatre at George Mason University in Virginia.
