Ellie Hikima, age 17 and currently in her junior year of high school, is a native of Los Angeles, who is currently living in Texas. Started playing the violin at the age of 6, she has studied under various teachers internationally, including those abroad in Japan. Her recent musical accomplishments include winning the gold medal from the Royal Conservatory of Music that earned her an invitation to perform at the Alfred Newman Hall at the University of Southern California. She also performed as a soloist at the Zipper Hall in the Colburn School, and as one of the selected violinists from an international competition to perform at Carnegie Hall. Currently, enrolled in both the youth and school orchestras as the assistant concert master and concert master (respectively), Ellie is interested in continuing her musical studies in depth in college.
