David Song started playing violin at age 7 and soon he started to attend numerous competitions starting with Little Mozart Competition where he won 2nd prize in 2012, 1st prize at Crescendo International Music Competition in 2013-2014, silver prize at, International Virtuoso Competition in 2014, 1st prize at American Protégé International Competition in 2014, and have participated JCC Thurnauer School of Music Masterclass with violinist Joseph Lin in 2014, Almita Vamos in 2015, and Daniel Phillips in 2019.
He has won 2 nd prize at New York International Competition in 2015,
gold prize at National Young Musicians Showcase Competition in 2015 and he was a Grand & Scholarship Winner at 2019 International Young Artists Competition. He also participated Heifetz PEG(Program For Exceptionally Gifted for Young String Players age 9-13)when he was 11 years old with receiving $1000 Scholarship from this prestigious summer music program offered at Mary Baldwin University in Staunton VA. Currently, he is a member of New York Youth Symphony and attending Manhattan Pre-College Division for Violin. He lives in Bergen County, New Jersey in USA studying violin under violinist Bela Horvath.
