Chloe Frisco just started 6th grade and lives in Palos Verdes Estates, California. She started learning cello at the age of 8 with Mr. Stan Sharp. She later studied with Ms. In-Kyu Lee and had been coached by renowned cellist Mr. Lynn Harrell. Last year, Chloe was awarded First Place at her first solo competition, the 2019 Southwestern Youth Music Festival in Southern California. Earlier this year, Chloe was selected as a winner of the American String Teachers Association - Los Angeles Regional Solo Competition and advanced to the California State Finals, where she won Third Place. Most recently, she was awarded First Place in the 2020 American Protege International Competition of Romantic Music and has been invited to perform at Carnegie Hall, next December. Before the pandemic, she served as principal cellist of the Palos Verdes School District Advanced String Ensemble. Chloe is currently a student of professor Clive Greensmith, from the Colburn School of Music in Los Angeles. Besides music, Chloe has had a deep interest in art, especially fashion design illustration, from a very young age. She also loves other performance arts and is looking forward to returning to her singing, acting, and dancing activities, and playing cello with the Palos Verdes Regional Symphony Orchestra, once the pandemic is over. In her free time, Chloe enjoys swimming at her local beach club with her close friends and cousins.
