Benjamin Pegram started playing the violin at age 7, and is presently a student of Fresno State Violin Professor Dr. Limor Toren-Immerman. He has won numerous awards and recognition, having received several gold medals in both violin and piano performance with the Central California Baroque Festival. Furthermore, he has participated and placed in numerous competitions at the local, state, and international level. For four consecutive seasons, he has been the concertmaster of the Youth Philharmonic Orchestra of Fresno, the highest level performance group available for youth in the central valley. Mr. Pegram has performed in a wide variety of student recitals, masterclasses, and done concerts at Walt Disney Concert Hall as part of the Fresno Orchestra and Opera Summer Academy. Among these, he has performed for Rachel Barton Pine, Movses Pogossian, Grigory Kalinovsky, Jinjoo Cho, Richard Lin, Vadim Gluzman, as well as many others. Additionally, he has been selected for the past 7 years as a live performer for the Young Artists Spotlight Valley Public Radio program.
