Alissa Henderson is an American soprano currently working towards her master’s at Texas Tech University. She recently performed as the Second Lady in Texas Tech University’s production of Mozart’s The Magic Flute and was the alto soloist in The Lubbock Chorale’s performance of Vivaldi’s Gloria. Alissa was selected to sing the title role in Donezetti’s Rita at the 2020 Music in the Marche Program, and can be seen as Blanche in Texas Tech’s upcoming production of Poulenc’s Dialogues of the Carmelites in April of 2021. Alissa has been fortunate to work under the instruction of Dr. Rebecca Hays, and Dr. Nicole Hanig through her years of schooling. Her talents expand beyond performance and was fortunate to be awarded a SURE Grant to fund her research in theory in 2018.
