Born in Guangdong, China in 2006, Ruiying Lin began violin studies at the age of 5. In 2017, she was enrolled in the primary school affiliated to Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, majoring in violin, under the tutelage of Professor Xiao Liu. In 2019 she entered the middle school of the conservatory and continued her violin trainings.
Her competition awards include Gold Award in the 1st China, Korea International Violin Competition in 2019, First Prize in 2016 Hong Kong International String Competition, Silver Award in the 11th National Junior Violin Competition in 2014, Gold Award in the 1st Zhuhai, Hong Kong and Macao Youth Vocal Music and Instruments Competition in 2013, and Gold Award in the 14th Guangdong Junior Violin Competition.
