Swietlana Różycka

A diploma year (BA) student at Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław, under dr hab. Kolasa-Hladíková. She began her vocal education in 2012 in Public Music School in Mława. Her education includes also participation in numerous masterclasses (incl. W. Stephen Smith [USA], dr Marta Schmidt [Karlsruhe], prof. Ingrid Kremling [Hamburg], prof. Anna Jaremus [Łódź], dr hab. Olga Ksenicz [Wrocław]). She is developing her skills comprehensively, taking part in many workshops (acting skills, traditional singing, throat singing).

An active performer of concerts and participant of numerous stage projects. She had the pleasure of performing the part of Molly in the operetta 'Geisha' (S. Jones) and the part of Riquette in the operetta 'Viktoria und ihr Husar' (P. Abraham) at Public Music School in Mława. During her studies, she concertized not only solo but also as a soloist of vocal ensembles. She has also taken part in the stage production of 'L'enfant et les sortilèges' (M. Ravel), where she had the opportunity to use her acrobatic skills. During her activity in Wrocław, she regularly meets with a group of ethnic music musicians for Ethno Jams - a project during which numerous compositions of vocal and instrumental music are being created spontaneously. The group has already given a few concerts in music and literary clubs of Wrocław.

Aside from artistic activity, her passions are bodywork and psychosomatics. She combines various techniques (yoga, qigong, acro yoga, dance, 5Rythms et al.) to examine the associations between health and body condition and its vocal capabilities. She hopes that her work will be helpful for vocal arts adepts that were traumatised or suffer from chronic tensions and afflictions which have made it impossible to fully develop their voices.
