Megan Xuan Tong Tan, 14, from Singapore, excelled in her music interest under the tutelage of Ms Stephanie Leong and Ms Khor Ai Ming. She passed her Trinity College London Singing Examinations from Grade 1 to Grade 8 with Distinction. She has achieved the Top Distinction Holder for her Grade 7 Trinity College London Examination 2018. In 2018, she participated in the American Protégé International Vocal Competition and was awarded first and second prize, opening up opportunities for her to perform in Carnegie Hall. In 2020, she was chosen as a First Prize Winner of the 2020 “Golden Classical Awards” International Competition. She was also a Brilliant Awardee in the Junior category of the 4th Brilliant Talent Discovery Awards International Music Competition 2020.
A member of the Vocal Associates Youth Choir, she has frequently performed major works like Faure's Requiem and Karl Jenkin's A Mass for Peace. Most recently, Megan performed for ChildAid Singapore 2019 and Singapore Business Awards 2019.
