Katherine Burklin, age 15, is a student at Campbell High School. She has played piano for seven years and is currently studying under Dr. Adriana Janse van Rensburg in Atlanta, Georgia. She has achieved distinctions in the ABRSM piano and theory exams and won Outstanding Performer and Awards of Excellence multiple times in the Atlanta Romantic/Impressionistic piano competition. She has performed in master classes by South African concert pianist, Pieter van Zyl. Katherine has also achieved superior ratings in Piano Guild of America for many years. She has twice been selected to perform in the Young Performers Recital series in Atlanta, and has performed in various local and community recitals and other city-wide events. She actively participates and pursues competitive piano performance at national and international level.
