Jayden Yeung

 


Jayden Yeung is a fifteen-year old Freshman from Irvine, California.  He started his violin studies at the age of 8.  Since 2016, he has won numerous competitions locally and internationally.  He was the first-place winner at the Southwestern Youth Music Festival in 2016 and 2017, and won numerous awards at the Music Teacher Association of California Music Festivals and Scholarship Competition.  In 2018, he performed at Carnegie Hall in New York as the gold medalist of the AADGT International Young Gifted Musicians Festival and as the first prize winner of the Golden Classical Music Awards International Music Competition.  In the same year, he was named the Artist of the Year by the Great Composers International Music Competition and received second prize at the ENKOR International Music Competition.  Jayden had participated in the masterclass with Paul Huang, Richard O’Neill, Philippe Graffin and Peter Zazofsky.  In 2015-2016, he served as the concertmaster of the Irvine Unified School District Honors Chamber Strings and Honors Orchestra.  Jayden joined the Pacific Symphony Santiago Strings (PSSS) in 2016, and served as the concertmaster in 2017-18.  He had performed as a featured soloist at the PSSS concerts for three consecutive years.  He had performed as a member of the Pacific Symphony Santiago Strings Quartet and the Pacific Symphony Youth Octet.  He is currently the second violinist of the Pacific Symphony Youth Quartet.  In 2018, he joined the Chamber Music | OC Pre-College Program.  His past teachers include Henryk Liao and Dr. Iryna Krechkovsky, and he is currently studying violin under the tutelage of Sam Fischer at the Colburn School of Music.
