Boston-based soprano Emily Ennis recently received her Master's Degree in Opera Performance from the Longy School of Music in the studio of Jayne West. While at Longy, she appeared in scenes from Cold Sassy Tree (Lightfoot), La Fille du Regiment (Marie), Der Bettelstudent (Laura), Street Scene (Rose) and The Beautiful Bridegroom (Leonora.) Additionally, she appeared in a student-led production of Michael Ching’s Speed Dating Tonight! (Julie), and was a featured soprano soloist with Calliope Music. Most recently, Ms. Ennis was scheduled to sing Belinda in Dido and Aeneas at Longy, however, the production was cancelled due to COVID-19. She hopes to perform the role in its entirety someday. Ms. Ennis also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Miami Frost School of Music, where she studied with Nobleza Pilar.
