Christopher Pan, age 15, lives in West Windsor and currently a Sophomore at West
Windsor Plainsboro High School North. He is a student of Chiu-Tze Lin, and formerly with Soo-Kyung Cho and Inessa Gleyzerova Shindel. Christopher has received many musical awards, including the Grand prize winner of National League Performing Arts International Young Artists Competition, scholarship winner of Chinese American Cultural Association Young Players Philharmonic Musical Scholarship Competition and Shore Music Educators Association Youth in Music competition. Christopher was also the winners of IMPACT, Golden Key Music Festival, New York Music Teachers Forum and preliminary winner of 30 th International Young Artist Piano Competition (IYAPC). He was a 1st prize winner of New Jersey Music Teachers Association Composer Commissioned competition and prize winner at the highly competitive NJMTA Young Musician Competition. Christopher has performed multiple times in Weill Recital Hall of Carnegie Hall as a result of winning auditions in the New Jersey/New York area. He also participated in the London Royal School of music exams for both piano practical and music theory and completed ABRSM Grade 8 for Piano and AP Music Theory exam. Christopher plans to complete the ABRSM Diplomas certificate in the spring of 2020.
Besides piano, Christopher also plays violin and is a student of Huayi Wang. He is a member of his school’s orchestra, Studio Jazz band, Bravura Youth Orchestra and Central NJ honor intermediate orchestra. Christopher loves music from his heart. He enjoys reading various composers’ stories and fascinates the history of music. 2 years ago, Christopher started learning composition and is currently a student of Dr. Craig Levesque.
