Andrea Bellido


 Andrea Bellido was born in Argentina in 1998. She started with her musical interests when she was 3 years old playing the violin. At the age of 5 years she swaped to cello and started her studies in Córdoba, Argentina with Eugenia Meneghini, Cristina Zatti, Cristián Móntes and Marcelo Móntes (Section Leader from the Córdoba Symphony Orchestra, Argentina) her last teacher in Argentina. Besides she have been taking part in several Master Classes with great Cellists, some of them with international reputation, such as Yves Dharamraj, Stanimir Todorov, Eduardo Vassallo, Cláudio Jaffé, Dennis Parker, Hans Jensen, William Molina Cestari, Hannah Roberts, Jian Wang among others. In her orchestra experience, she had taken part as a Leader section in the youth orchestra from her city "Orquesta Academica del Teatro del Libertador San Martin", she had been hired for some concerts by the Córdoba Symphony Orchestra and the Chaber String Orchestra since she got in waiting list. Also she have been performing in several orchestra projects in the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, one of them conducted by Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla (Conductor of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra). Additionally, Andrea has been performing as a Soloist the Haydn in C Major Cello Concerto and the Elgar Cello Concerto with few orchestras in Argentina and Chamber Music Recitals with Piano and Cello duet, and Piano Trio in Argentina and at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, UK. Furthermore she obtain diverse mentions and prizes, such as "Young promises of the future" at the V Latin American Violoncello Festival in Buenos Aires, República Argentina, Finalist in the National Competition "Young Soloists" organized by the " Orquesta Sinfónica de Salta" in Salta Capital, República Argentina, Finalist and with honourable mention in the "Young Soloists" Competition, organized by the Municipal String Orchestra in Córdoba, República Argentina, the Mozarteum scholarship, Finalist in the Sylvia Cleaver Chamber Music Prize in the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and the "Birmingham Conservatoire Prize" a four-year scholarship to study at the Conservatoire with Maestro Eduardo Vasallo, at the VI Latin American Violoncello Festival, in Buenos Aires República Argentina.  At the moment she is finishing the 3rd year in the Bachelor in Music Performance with Eduardo Vassallo (Leader section of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra) at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, UK.
