Alan Wang is a junior at Watchung Hills Regional High School in Warren, NJ. He has been playing clarinet since the age of 9 and piano since the age of 4. He is currently a member of the NJYS (New Jersey Youth Symphony) Youth Symphony, the premier ensemble of the organization that has performed in New Jersey's best performing arts centers and performs repertoire from orchestral masterworks to newly commissioned pieces. Alan has also been a member of CJMEA Region II Wind Ensemble + Symphonic Band and NJMEA All-State Symphonic Band + Orchestra. Alan has also won awards on both clarinet and piano in the TYMA Russian Music Competition, Cecilian Music Club Young Artists' Competition, IMPACT Young Artists' Competition, and the Golden Key Music Festival. He has also performed in recitals on both clarinet and piano in Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall and Victoria Hall at NJPAC. Alan also regularly performs at senior centers as a member and president of IMPACT (International Musicians’ Performing Arts Cultural Troupe) Youth Club.
