Zuzanna Budzynska

Zuzanna Małgorzata Budzyńska (born in Radzyń Podlaski) is a 4th year student at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw (class of violin of prof. Andrzej Gębski), as well as a student of prof. Edward Zienkowski at Universitat fur Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien in Vienna (Austria). She is a member of two ensembles - Budzyńska-Ogryzek Duo (violin-piano) and Cuore Piano Trio. She is a laureate of many international and nationwide solo and chamber music competitions, i.a.: 1st prize at IV North International Music Competition, Stockholm 2019, 1st prize at 3rd Brilliant Talent Discovery Awards International Music Competition in Singapore (2019), 1st prize at "IMKA" International Music Competition, Sarajevo 2019 or 2nd prize and "Klassik Preis" at the Antonio Vivaldi International Competition Vienna (2018).

Zuzanna is an active soloist and chamber musician. She gave concerts as a soloist with orchestras such as the Moscow Chamber Orchestra "Musica-Viva", Sinfonietta of the Warsaw Chamber Opera or Płocka Symphonic Orchestra. She is a member of the Polish Soloists String Orchestra, as well as Warsaw Players ensemble, which is led by Janusz Wawrowski.

In 2019 Zuzanna, together with Szymon Ogryzek (piano) recorded her debut CD "POLONAISES" (DUX Recording Producers), which was financed by the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. The CD gained fantastic reviews i.a. from PIZZICATO and ResMusica. In 2019, as a result of recording the CD, Zuzanna and Szymon were awarded the prestigious "CORYPHAEUS OF THE POLISH MUSIC" prize in the "Discovery of the Year" category. Zuzanna is also a Harvard Club of Poland member and the 6. "Path to Harvard" 2015 Competition winner.

She performed in Poland (i.a.: National-, Świętokrzyska-, Podkarpacka-, Lubelska-, Warmińsko-Mazurska Philharmonic Halls, National Theatre, Royal Castle in Warsaw, Castle in Łańcut, K. Penderecki European Centre for Music), Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Italy, France, Russia and United Arab Emirates.

Zuzanna took part in many masterclasses in Vienna, Zell am See, Goch, Łańcut or Lusławice, where she worked with professors such as Wolfgang Marschner, Michael Frischenschlager, Rosa Fain, Sergey Kravchenko, Konstanty Andrzej Kulka or Krzysztof Jakowicz. She was a scholar of the Polish Prime Minister, Polish Minsiter of Culture and National Heritage, Centre for Artistic Education, Societe Generale Bank, National Childrens' Fund and Rector of The Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. In 2017 she became a laureate of the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage "Young Poland" Scholarship Programme, which allowed her to purchase a German violin built in 1930 by Johann Heinrich Schult.
