Nathan Hu
Nathan Hu is a 15-year-old attending high school in the USA. He has been playing piano for 9 years under the instruction of Holly Harty. He has performed in many competitions and won numerous awards. At age ten, he won the Mid-Columbia Young Artist Competition and was the featured soloist to perform with the Mid-Columbia Symphony. He then won the same competition again in 2018. In the same year, he also won the Inland Northwest Orchestra young artist competition and played with the Orchestra in Oregon state. In 2019 at the Chopin Northwest Competition, he won a silver medal. He also participated in other regional music competitions and won gold medals and silver medals, such as Musicfest Northwest and Sonata-Sonatina Festival of Washington State. He has played at the Young Artists of Distinction for Camerata Musica several times. He is actively involved in his church as he accompanies the Sunday worship, church choir and travels on short term mission trips while playing piano for the teams.
