Cuore Piano Trio


The ensemble was founded by the students of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw in 2017. Zuzanna Budzyńska (violin) studies with Andrzej Gębski, Jadwiga Roguska (cello) with Tomasz Strahl and Mateusz Szmyt, Szymon Ogryzek (piano) with Joanna Ławrynowicz-Just. As Cuore Piano Trio they study in the chamber music class of Krystyna Makowska-Ławrynowicz. All the musicians have received a scholarship in the Erasmus+ Programme, which allowed them to study at Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wienin Vienna (Austria) for one year.

The trio have won top prizes at many international chamber music competitions, i.a.:
- I PRIZE - International Music Competition for ""Concert Tours to China"", Denmark 2020
- I PRIZE - 3 rd Brilliant Talend Discovery Award International Music Competition 2019, SINGAPORE
- I PRIZE – eMuse International Music Competition 2018, ATHENS (Greece)
- II PRIZE – V International Chamber Music Tournament 2018, BYDGOSZCZ (Poland).

The ensemble performs regularly in France, Austria, Russia and Poland (i.a. The National Philharmonic Hall in Warsaw, Świętokrzyska Philharmonic, Podkarpacka Philharmonic, Warmińsko-Mazurska Philharmonic, Chinese Embassy in Warsaw, The Royal Castle in Warsaw, The Wilanów Palace Museum, The Palace on the Isle and The Myślewicki Palace in the Royal Łazienki Park, The Great Ball Room in Łańcut Castle and the F. Chopin University of Music's Concert Hall). In May 2019 Cuore Piano Trio became a laureate of the „Stage for the Polish Music” Programme, organised by the Polish Institute of Music and Dance. Their project of a Polish chamber music recital was the only awarded students' project (there were only 8 winners chosen from 103 applications). This gave them opportunity to perform their repertoire during 3 full recitals in Polish philharmonic halls, incl. The National Philharmonic Hall in Warsaw.

In March 2020 a Polish renowned record label released a collection of 6 CDs presenting the unknown Polish piano and chamber music pieces performed by various young artists of different nationalities. Three of the CDs contain music performed by Cuore Piano Trio: Trio in E major op. 5 by Franciszek Lessel, 1st movement of Grand Piano Trio op. 17 by Ignacy Feliks Dobrzyński and Piano Trio by Artur Malawski. The pieces last over 55 minutes.

In 2019 the ensemble performed an opening recital of the 45. Zenon Brzewski International Music Courses in Łańcut. In 2018, Cuore Piano Trio was invited to take part in the Russian-Polish „Youth Academy of the Arts” Festival in Moscow, where they performed 5 concerts at the Moscow museums and at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Russia. The invitation was extended by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, which is one of the leading cultural institutions in Poland. In 2017, the musicians were invited to perform at an opening concert of the „Mixtures of Culture Festival” in Warsaw.

The trio regularly takes part in master classes conducted by professors representing the most renowned music universities in the world, including Sergey Kravchenko, Ligia Triakina (Russia), Marialena Fernandes, Edward Zienkowski, Jan Jiracek von Arnim (Austria), Janis Maleckis (Latvia), Frank-Immo Zichner, Michael Flaksman (Germany), Evan Rothstein (Great Britain).

All the musicians have received a scholarship for the best students of the Rector of the F. Chopin University of Music, the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the Centre for Artistic Education and more.
