Srimedha Rajagopalan, a sophomore at Los Altos High School, started learning piano from Mr.Leonid Veksler with Veksler Academy from when she was under four years old. From her early age, Mr.Veksler has helped her develop an appreciation for music as well as enjoy playing piano. She has always enjoyed playing both classical and jazz songs. She particularly likes to play fast paced songs. Medha started learning music from her current wonderful teacher Kai Chi Zhu for the past 4years after Mr.Veksler's retirement. Her teacher has instilled in Medha the right techniques and discipline to master complex music compositions by Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Chopin, Haydn etc while understanding and appreciating the nuances and just enjoy playing the songs. She has won prizes at competitions such as USOMC, US International Music Competition as well as selected to play at New York's Carnegie Hall through a competition organized by the American Fine Arts Festival. She is currently studying to take level 8 Certificate of Merit by MUSIC TEACHERS’ ASSOCIATION of CALIFORNIA.
