I began playing cello almost 2 1/2 years ago in the 6th grade at school and started taking lessons shortly after. In school we mostly play contemporary music, but I prefer classical. Private lessons have allowed me to play more challenging music; my teacher has introduced me to music by composers that I really love playing. Someday I hope to be the first astronaut to play cello in space.
